I've kayaked before but never did I imagine how difficult kayaking 5 gorges in Katherine would be! The rented kayaks were sturdy as they survived the hauling over rocks we did, but they were also damn heavy! Luckily poor Brian was on his workout kick and did most of the hard work. A big thank you to Choi, Young and Lydia as well for all the effort. As you can tell from the photos, I spent alot of time as paparazzi instead of manual labour. Not sure if Choi and Young were expecting such pain from a vacation, but least it wasn't cold! This will surely be an experience for the memory books under the heading of Kick-Ass Arduous! A definite to-do for adrenaline junkies who find their way to Katherine. BTW, there are 13 gorges.
